Who We Are Seeking AHCCS is seeking a student focused, passionate, and motivating Teaching Assistant to join our school! The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for: Design PA Standards-aligned lessons and assessments for use in the Cyber environment; Teach and record live lessons using an online classroom; Welcoming new students to class; Grade lesson submissions according to Achievement House Protocol and maintain records in an online grade book; Communicate course expectations, class times, and upcoming events to students and parents using e-mail, instant messaging, and course announcements; Contact students and/or parents of students who are struggling and/or not completing assignments; and Develop and implement programs of individual and small group help sessions on a regular basis according to student needs. Who You Will Report To: Assistant Principal Position Type: Full-Time, 10-month position What Skills and Knowledge You Can Bring Positive and encouraging outlook Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient use of technology including Blackboard Collaborate, Microsoft Office Suite, and Internet Ability to multitask and effectively manage time under pressure Education and Experience A Bachelor's degree and PA Teaching certificate in a General Education subject such as English, Math, Science and/or Social Studies. Previous experience working in a Cyber School environment is a positive factor! Required Certificates/Clearances: Child abuse and criminal background clearances are required, including Act 168 Disclosure/Release. Must also complete Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training.
