Machine Maintenance Technician

Who you are: MP's client is looking for an individual who has the ability to design, change, optimize, and improve the maintenance of the manufacturing equipment. A strong candidate will be responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and property structures while ensuring the heating, electrical, plumbing, and manufacturing systems are performing at optimum functionality . What you will be doing: Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; solicit observations from operators. Maintain the Preventative Maintenance process in the plant by studying the machine requirements, researching, and developing the Preventative Maintenance programs for the machines and confer with equipment vendors. Excellent troubleshooting skills Hands-on type of person who can work on equipment. Work with the Quality group on short-term and long-term corrective action solutions Work on cost reduction and continuous improvement projects Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, establishing personal networks. Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems. Report any potential food safety, legality, quality, or food defense concerns to the Plant Manager or Quality personnel. Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices Must follow all company policies and procedures. All other duties as required. Our ideal candidate has: Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills General maintenance skills Knowledge of PLC's a plus Knowledge of setting up Camera's a plus Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems Electrical background a plus Knowledge of heat-sealing process a plus Proactive Good attitude: ability to work well with others and be a team player Good communication skills About our client: MP's client is the manufacturing and market leader in North America of spouted pouches.
