Job Description Summary/Objective The Drywall Technician is responsible for the installation of tape & mud to board, sanding mud to match surfaces, and repairing previously done work. Responsibilities Be multi-talented in all aspects of finishing, sanding, spotting, and repairs of drywall Be able to do a small demo Be able to prep for a new install Have minor framing knowledge Have minor hanging knowledge Have major finishing skills Possess sanding skills Carrying tools and supplies necessary to perform the job Be able to identify good/bad drywall jobs Completion of daily jobs/maintaining scheduled list of jobs Communicate daily with managers on the status of jobs Communicate with manager on billable repairs immediately after completion Communicate and update manager when leaving one job and arriving at another Must be able to use technology: Smart phone, texting, apps (specifically job related apps) Ability to use easy sand products Maintain a clean appearance Maintain personal hygiene Comply with company, local, and state safety protocols Assess problems on the job independently Have reliable transportation to work Professionally communicate with homeowners, builders, clients if necessary Work in a safe manner Maintain job cleanliness make sure the job is contained Perform high quality work on all jobs then do the work as quickly as you can Do a final walk through to make sure your jobs requirements are completed Job Requirements Basic Qualifications & Attributes 1+ years' experience in construction Attention to detail and concerned with quality of work Ability to take and follow direction Reliab le to complete work and be at work each day on time or early Ability to solve problems in multiple ways Work well with others Possess strong time management skills Possess a positive, go-getter a ttitude Possess strong problem-solving skills Ability to adapt to changing job requirements Ability to quickly respond to the requests and requirements of other team members.
