A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN EXPERIENCED AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN / AUTO MECHANIC As an Experienced Automotive Technician / Auto Mechanic, you perform essential automobile maintenance and to repairs to get our customers back on the road. From routine tasks like transmission flushes and brake replacements to complicated electrical or engine repairs, you competently service foreign and domestic automobiles in our high-volume shop. Your excellent analytical skills serve you well as you troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix performance issues. Relying on your experience and knowledge, you treat each car with care as you follow work orders. You love having access to state-of-the-art equipment as you service cars in our clean, well- equipped shop. With safety as your top priority, you always double-check your work to make sure cars are ready to roll. Attentive to detail, you promptly complete paperwork and submit accurate documentation. You take pride in doing each job right, and you're pleased that you're well- compensated for your skills! QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN EXPERIENCED AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN / AUTO MECHANIC Must have own tools 5 days a week High school diploma OR equivalent 5+ years of experience as a mechanic 5+ years of experience repairing brakes, electrical systems, and/or engines At least one ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification Willingness to provide your own basic automotive tools Clean valid driver's license Inspection License A Plus - Not A Must Full ASE certification is preferred but not required. Certification as a Motor Vehicle Inspector in New York would be an asset. The expertise to work on big tow trucks would be a plus! Do you take pride in the quality of your work?
