Physical Management Crisis Position (Registered Behavior Technician) GENERAL DESCRIPTION Provide direct one-on-one instruction using principles of applied behavior analysis in a clinic, home, residential or school setting. IABA is looking for both Full time and Part-Time Crisis Behavior Therapists to serve children the population of children with Autism using ABA therapy in the Naperville and surrounding areas. This specific position is specific to working with clients who have intense and frequent behavior, and often need safety care intervention (i.e. restraint). Staff hired for this position will be required to be safety care trained within first 2 months of hire. Staff will be trained appropriately on how to handle situations that may need verbal or physical intervention according to the clients behavior intervention plan created by a BCBA. Full time positions (35 hours a week) are available: Please be aware that full time staff are required to work at least one weekend day and 4 weekdays. 2-3 Evenings also required for availability after 3pm-8pm. Full time would be a combination of RBT hours and Crisis Client RBT hours. Part-time positions also currently available. Daytime and Evening hours (3-8pm) available based on candidate availability and client need. One weekend day is also required for part-time positions. **SIGN ON BONUS of $150.00 after 90 days of employment. All RBT staff are eligible for a raise at 6 months after passing the company required RBT exam and other requirements. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Implementation of goals and teaching plans created by the Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Data collection related to the goals and behavior plans Electronic filing of data and clinical documentation within a 24 hour timeframe Attend mandatory trainings conducted by Instructional ABA Consultants Proactively communicate with Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Maintain confidentiality, ethical guidelines, policies including HIPAA laws and regulations Ability to lift/move up to 150 pounds (client) Physical Intervention (i.e. trained safety care holds) with clients if needed as a last resort Use of safety care training learned skills in sessions with clients & families frequently Frequent reaching, standing, kneeling, bending, squatting and standing Ability to run short distances if elopement is a behavior displayed by client REQUIRED SKILLS: Exposure to psychology, human development, or behavior analysis preferred Minimum education required is a high school diploma or equivalent. Strong verbal, written and communication skills Strong work ethic with the ability to meet scheduling commitments Ability to handle stressful, crisis situations requiring the ability to make decisions and intervene appropriately and safely. At times this may be independent without BCBA present. DESIRED SKILLS Prefer candidates working toward a bachelors or masters level program Experience with crisis response & physical intervention preferred QUALIFICATIONS Must pass a background check Previous safety care or other crisis intervention certification preferred First Aid/CPR training preferred WORK STATUS Part time or full time available. Full time positions would be a combination of RBT hours and Crisis Client RBT hours. IABA will compensate a different rate of pay for each. See below for different pay rate ranges. TRAVEL 100% travel between clients home and required meetings (up to 45 minutes to clients homes or clinic) Must have a valid driver's license and provide proof of auto insurance Multiple locations: Naperville, surrounding suburbs REPORTING Reports to Behavior Analyst and/or Program Manager Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship Pay: $21.00-$24.00 an hour based on experience Regular RBT hours: $19-$21 COVID-19 considerations: We have COVID-19 protocols in place for in clinic and in home sessions
