Responsibilities: The PHC Manager is responsible for all sales and operations of plant healthcare services. Manages accounts through the efficient use of labor, materials, processes, and proper staff supervision to produce desired profit margins and optimal customer satisfaction. Follows all Company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Performs related work as required. Requirements: Assumes full responsibility for plant health care (PHC) operations and sales Manages customer expectations efficiently Proposes plant health care (PHC) recommendations Maintains equipment necessary to perform PHC applications Maintains proper record keeping of training and applications Verifies all company, state, local, and OSHA requirements are followed at all times Utilizes company software correctly to schedule and manage accounts Completes paperwork and customer requests accurately and on time Creates effective reports and presentations using company templates Attends client board meetings, and conducts landscape walks with clients independently Makes responsible recommendations to clients Completes business processes in a timely and accurate fashion Complies with and acts as a role model for all organizational policies and procedures Provides excellent service (e.g. accurate, complete, timely) to clients, team members, and other Bemus staff Works with Human Resources to ensure that proper traffic control permits and measures are in place Sends chemical application notices to clients ahead of time Tracks chemical and fertilizer usage throughout the company and fills out necessary reports to regulating agencies Schedule all PHC work and manage spray technicians so that applications are executed efficiently and within budget Key Performance Indicators: Manages all PHC accounts to achieve overall profitability to company standardRetains client accounts through client relationships and quality performanceFollows and directs staff in all safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuriesProduces high-quality work that is on timeCommunicates effectively: follows up and doesn't need to be asked twice, keeps others posted on progressManages task log to ensure requests are completed on timeSchedules tracks and completes work ticketsPrimary Skills and Education Required:Positive attitude; ability to follow rules and instructions, work safely, and work well with othersCommunicate effectively in written and spoken EnglishPossesses a valid California Driver's License with acceptable driving récord3 years of professional horticulture experienceWorking knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods associated with tree care (e.g., tree identification,plant health care recommendations, pruning types, tree risk assessments, recommended removals, etc.)Competence in math and technologyGood time management and organizationAbility to solve problems in a positive and practical manner Applies principles of supervision and team buildingAbility to lead and manage a teamAbility to multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environmentAbility to work well under stressFocuses on exceeding the expectations of customersApplies principles of supervision and team buildingObtain ISA Certified Arborist certification within the first year on the jobQualified Applicator's License (QAL) is obtained in the first 6 months of employment Summary Our corporate office is located in San Clemente, CA. The working environment is varied, alternating between an office setting and work sites, with regular local travel to other SoCal locations. Overnight travel is rare but occasionally necessary. Sustained sitting, standing, walking (sometimes on uneven surfaces) and driving are commonplace, as are stooping, lifting, carrying, or otherwise transporting up to 50 pounds. Frequent and repetitive use of computers, phones, and other tools of the trade is part of the position.
