ARMI seeks an experienced Human Resources (HR) Lead to manage the HR operations function, recruitment strategy and planning, and internal HR systems. This is a hands-on role. The HR Lead will be responsible for several key areas, including performance management, training and development, onboarding, HR information system management, recruitment, HR policies/procedures, and identifying new opportunities where HR can add value to strategic business planning. The position requires excellent responsiveness to the needs of the individuals and teams within ARMI and throughout its ecosystem. To be successful in this role, candidates need extensive HR experience and exceptional interpersonal skills. Responsibilities Responsible for onboarding new starters, delivering HR induction programs, and managing new starter integration. Leads the recruitment process and creates a proactive recruitment pipeline/sourcing strategy that facilitates the advancement of organizational strategy. Ensures HR policies and procedures meet federal, state, and local requirements and support an inclusive, vibrant organizational culture. Develops and leads performance appraisal (annual and interim) and career development processes. Leads and supports the administration of the HRIS and HR systems. Proactively identifies personnel gaps and works with senior leadership and relevant managers to develop hiring plans for business requirements. Manages HR-relevant vendor and stakeholder partnerships. Integrates information and prepares presentations on HR topics for multiple audiences. With senior leadership, builds an organizational strategy for professional development and a repertoire of employee development activities. Strengthens knowledge base of human resource best practices continually and applies knowledge to improve efficiency and service within the HR department. Requirements Minimum of 7-10 years of resourcing / HR experience and a track record of working with senior leadership in a demanding environment. Ability to consistently maintain confidentiality. Strong proficiency in the practical use of critical business applications, including HRIS. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people within and outside the organization. Experience in designing and executing recruiting and HR operational plans. Strong Program HR Operations experience, preferably in the life sciences. Track record as a proven people leader and team player, comfortable working in start-up situations and positively leading through change. Demonstrated experience building and mentoring an HR team for organizational growth.
