Easterseals Iowa is seeking team members to work in the Bob and Billie Ray Child Development Center as an Assistant Teacher. Assistant Teachers support in the planning and implementation of daily classroom activities and create relationships with the children and their families that are served by the Child Development Center (CDC). Located at Easterseals Iowa's Camp Sunnyside, the Bob and Billie Ray Child Development Center is an integrated setting, where children from 6 weeks to 5 years old with and without disabilities have the opportunity to learn and grow together in a fun and unique environment. On top of working in this unique environment, our Child Development Center is a part of T.E.A.C.H (Teacher Education and Compensation Helps) which provides a scholarship program to complete your degree while working! If you are interested in working on your early childhood associate or bachelors degrees this is a great opportunity to save money on tuition, books, etc. To find out more about this program please follow this link: Iowa T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship Program Along with T.E.A.C.H., CDC employees also have the opportunity to participate in Child Care WAGE$ IOWA (WAGE$). This is allows our employees to receive salary supplements (or stipends) based on the individuals level of formal education and commitment to their program after 6 months of employment. Base wage starts at $14.75/hour and increases to $15.00/hour after a 90 day successful orientation period.
