Description:
Job Overview Perform precision mechanical assembly work, which is typically of high complexity and/or requires fitting, alignment, and the adjustment of components, units, and assemblies to very close tolerances. Essential Functions: Composites: ยท Fabricates and/or assembles composite and sheetmetal assemblies Conducts and/or assists in fiberglass/composite modification and repair Fairing and preparation of metal and composite surfaces Operates hand and power tools during assembly and fabrication such as orbital sanders, jig saws, Dremel tools Follows work instructions and/or peer guidance on proper fabrication Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications: 0-3 years experience with fiberglass and/or composite construction and repair techniques. (Composite) Experience with paint preparation, painting, and adhesive application. Experience in a production and/or assembly environment Knowledge of aircraft hardware and materials and processes a plus Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
