Job OverviewCoordination of janitorial personnel in performing a variety of housekeeping tasks ensuring quality standards is met. Ensure all work is scheduled and performed in a safe and efficient manner without disrupting production. Keep working areas in production departments in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties, within all safe, sanitary and good housekeeping guidelines.Job DescriptionEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities · Maintaining/Scheduling daily duties and work instructions for janitorial employees. · Assuring the mechanical cleaning equipment is in working order. · In charge of the cleaning supply inventory and storage facility. · Janitorial supplies: : inventory and request supplies as necessary to maintain stock and organize and store in their proper places · Assist in filling departmental vacancies. · Oversees the following housekeeping duties: · Empty and clean wastebaskets and containers (daily). · Sweep/Scrubbing of Plant floors (daily). · Use the proper cleansers and machinery safely and appropriately for each task. · Re-supply all dispensers in lunchrooms and restrooms (daily). · Replacing light bulbs · Servicing Air Filters on Air Conditioners and Machine Tools (daily) · Window Cleaning. · Strip and wax floors as required. · Cleaning the sidewalk of debris, snow, ice. · Make minor repairs as they relate to the job. · Minor Painting. · Repair/Replace restroom hardware. · Notify Maintenance of mechanical problems, malfunctions, or needed repairs.Qualifications and Education Requirements · 3-5 years of Janitorial/Custodial experience.Physical Requirements A physically demanding position requiring heavy lifting and carrying (50-100 lb.). The ability to stand continuously is essential with occasional walking and sitting. The nature of this position will require employee to perform a wide range of physical activities ranging from pushing and pulling heavy objects (50-100 lb.) to crouching, kneeling, bending and handling; and will at sometimes require employee to work from a maximum height of 12 feet.
