Long Island's leading butcher shop, Farmingdale Meat Market/Main Street Wholesale Meats, is looking for a Sanitation Associate to join our team! Family-owned and operated for three generations, our company is continuously growing-join us in providing the finest meats since 1946! Job Summary The Farmingdale Meat Market Sanitation Associate role involves the performance of routine manual tasks to maintain the cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and appearance of our company 's building. Two positions available. One graveyard shift 12:00am to 7:00am and one afternoon shift 12:00pm to 7:00pm. Responsibilities Dispose of food/trash/fluid waste Empty and decontaminate trash containers throughout the facility daily Move, rearrange, and wipe down equipment Mix or blend routine cleaning solutions to proper concentrations Clean floors using industrial-size mops, machines, or power washer Sweep sidewalks and tiled surfaces (moping the tile surfaces two to three times daily) Cleaning Restroom Facilities once daily or as needed Twice weekly cleaning of office spaces Special cleaning and reorganizing projects Report minor building or equipment repair needs to supervisor Farmingdale Meat Market, Inc. reserves the right to add or change duties at any time Qualifications Ability to work weekend shifts Ability to lift heavy objects Positive attitude Ability to work in various temperatures Skills Active listening Bilingual a plus FARMINGDALE MEAT MARKET, INC. is an equal opportunity employer.
