Kitchen Helper/Cook JOB SUMMARY: Seeking Kitchen Personnel for a restaurant in the Kona Airport. As a Kitchen helper, you are expected to use cooking and knife skills skills to work in a fast paced environment while you prepare food. It is important to be a team player and maintain a sanitary environment so that you are able to prepare and produce high quality meals for the customers. FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Food Prep - Prepare all ingredients and chop vegetables needed. Rotate food inventory. Short order cook - Utilize different kitchen tools to cook all meals in a safe and timely manner while making sure portions are accurate. Ensure that all food is fresh and the kitchen is clean and organized at all times. Bartending - Making and serving beverages to the customers. Make sure the counter is clean at all times. Performs all duties assigned by Manager while adhering to all Company policies and procedures. Follows Department of Health food safety guidelines. Frequent physical demands include Standing for extended periods of time Stooping, squatting, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and bending. Committed to the work schedule created by management. Complete all other tasks requested by management to ensure exception service to customers.
