Plastics Manufacturing plant under new ownership in Newton, NC is seeking multiple operators for Injection Mold press machinery. Pay is commensurate upon experience. Resumes can be emailed to XXXX@rmcatinc.com Job Purpose : Under authority of the Production Supervisor, t his role will be responsible for producing quality parts and processes using various processing machinery and tooling. Respons ibilities (tasks, duties): KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned): Production Operations o Operate various types of process machinery, including robots, presses and bonders. Cross-train as needed o Perform basic start up and shut-down procedures, as well as process checks throughout. o Use various types of hand tools, including routers, sanders, drills, etc. o Effectively troubleshoot issues and make recommendations to management. o E nsure all equipment and tools are stored and maintained properly to avoid interruption of production and to minimize unnecessary downtime. o Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicable o Provide input and ensure completion of set production goals, as set forth by Management o Effectively interpret production schedule and communicate any issues to management · Maintain compliance o Abide by safe work standards, all company safety practices and OSHA regulations o Support plant safety initiative maintain safety protocols throughout production area. o Contribute to ongoing plant improvements, as needed. o Abide by all corporate and plant company policies and initiatives. o Work with Quality/Engineering Team to address any production issues o Maintain clean work areas, practice good housekeeping and support plant-wide 5S initiative o Adhere to the company attendance policy OTHER DUTIES: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the incumbent for this job. All candidates MUST demonstrate: o The ability to lift up to 40 lbs o The ability to safety operate a fork truck or related machinery for up to 12 hours per day* o The ability to withstand extreme temperate environments o The ability to bend, stoop or reach with arms, climb or balance; kneel, crouch or crawl o The ability to wear required PPE Qualifications: Required qualifications: Qualified candidate must have : · Basic mechanical ability · Knowledge of hand tools · Understanding of overall production process. · Excellent work safety etiquette · Willingness to learn · Ability to work at a fast pace · Basic problem solving skills · Excellent communication and team skills · Familiar with OSHA/Safety Standards Preferred qualifications: Optimal candidate will have: · Prior experience in manufacturing · Bilingual a plus · OSHA certification · First-Aid training · Electrical training/experience · Facilities maintenance experience
