Lead Manufacturing Specialist - Rexburg, ID Are you the perfect blend of leader & achiever that motivates others to accomplish goals as a team? Our Lead Manufacturing Specialist provides leadership and supervision across multiple production & packaging lines to ensure people & food safety as well as achieving manufacturing efficiency goals. What will you do as the Lead Manufacturing Specialist? Our company depends on this role to ensure the safety of both people and food. You will be significantly involved in the SAFE process to maintain our commitment to safety. Coach employees on all aspects of their job duties in the safest manner possible. You would be responsible for coaching and developing team members. Facilitates team problem solving, decision making, fair & timely disciplinary action, and conflict resolution while living our BAF Values. Supports adherence to production and packaging schedules and distributes crewing. Works with other team members to reach budgeted line rates, prevent out of specification production, direct maintenance activities, manage raw material changes, and when necessary, uses the hold process to prevent out of specification product from reaching the customer. Accountable for team problem solving, decision making, fair and timely disciplinary action, and conflict resolution. Ensures performance appraisals and progress reports are done in a timely manner. Facilitates the communication between shifts and teams. Work with Line Owners and Continuous Improvement Coordinators to ensure crew is properly trained and cross trained. Acts as on-shift representative for all emergency response coordination, and compliance to Company policies (drug/alcohol, attendance, EEO, etc.). Responds to personnel issues as needed and conducts thorough investigations and coordinates results/issues. We're Looking for Someone With: Bachelor's degree and three plus years manufacturing related experience in a lead role, or five plus years in lieu of degree. Manufacturing and process knowledge Lean manufacturing knowledge and skills Working knowledge of workplace safety and GMP regulations Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required Additional Traits That Set You Apart: Working knowledge of database software; ADP; IFS (ERP) software; excel spreadsheet software and word processing software. Ability to make sound business decisions Keen attention to detail Written and spoken communication skills Ability to evaluate problems, correctly focus the resources and make efficient decisions Strong leadership and effective management skills to direct employees in efficient operations Effectively perform root cause analysis You'll Love Working Here if You: Love what you do, and it shows.
