CLICK THE LINK TO APPLY Carpenter (paycomonline.net) Purpose: Constructs, erects, installs and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and patent type formsystems using carpenters hand tools and power tools within tolerances that conform to drawing and specificationtolerances as well as directing and training carpenter helpers to do the same.Work Schedule: Varies by location. Must have open availability any time any day of the week. Length ofemployment is limited to job assignment and/or project duration.Essential Skills (may include but are not limited to the ability to:)Read a tape measure or ruler.Make measurements using a tape to the 1/16" toleranceIdentify lumber by grade and sizePerform basic craft math and apply to build both simple and complex formsRead blueprint plans and elevationsPerform layouts from centerlines drawn by engineerUse a framing square for layout workUse a plumb bob to transfer lines and plumb formwork.Layout and build templates for anchor boltsIdentify and use multiple forming systems (both square and round).Identify parts of a forming system and purpose of each.Recognize type and quantity of formwork needed to erect foundation from blueprints.Install formwork plumb, square, and level to acceptable tolerances.Set anchor bolts and embeds to acceptable tolerances.Form all foundations, beams, columns, and elevated slabs with form system using blueprint and detailsBuild radius forms, manhole, haunch forms, install blockouts and pipe sleeves.Calculate amount of concrete needed to fill formwork after erected.Identify and properly use safety equipment.Identify and properly use hand tools.Identify and properly operate power toolsIdentify sizes of panels and hardware for patented forms.Erect patented forms using proper panels and hardware.Strip, clean and oil patented forms.Use power circular saw or a handsaw.Identify nail types and sizes.Use sledgehammer and stripping barOperate portable generatorsRecognize and identify unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to employee's work environmentto control or eliminate any hazards of other exposure to illness or injury.Use hand signals to guide/direct equipment operators.Identify reinforcing steelPerform basic rebar tyingPerform rigging for liftsSet up, use, and store oxy/acetylene torch cutting rigInstall miscellaneous and finish architectural hardwareErect tube and safety scaffoldsPractice OSHA scaffold and ladder rulesWork within company policy as outlined in the Samuel EPC Craft Handbook and maintaincompliance with both the Samuel EPC Human Resources Policy Manual and the Samuel EPCSafety Manual.Perform other duties as assigned by the foreman/supervisor as needed.Essential QualificationsThree (3) years minimum Field experience in tradeAbility to work with others to achieve job goalsRead, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions (otherpreferences will be given for special language skills where there is a business need)Physical RequirementsStand or walk for long periods of timeUse arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objectsLift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50pounds with assistanceClimb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objectsStoop, kneel, crouch and crawlSee well (naturally or with correction)Eye hand coordinationGood physical fitnessGood sense of balanceWork at great heightsTool RequirementsSteel toed work boots22 oz. or larger Claw Hammer25 Steel Tape MeasureLevels: 2 and 4HandsawWrecking BarCarpenter Nail Apron (Leather)Handy Man Nail PullerToolbox (with lock)6' Folding Rule50' or 100' Tape12" Adjustable WrenchTriSquare or Speed Square16 oz. or larger Plumb BobChalk Box#9 Side Cutter PliersFraming SquareUtility KnifeTin SnipsVice Grips1/2", 3/4" and 1" Wood ChiselsExpansion Bit with 2 CuttersScrew Drivers: Flat Tip and Phillips Head Job Posted by ApplicantPro
