Quality Lab Coordinator

This role a ssures the effective utilization of analytical processes and resources to support consistent, accurate and rapid analyses of in-process materials, finished products and shipments, while maintaining the highest degree of HSE. The key deliverables are managing the raw material, manufacturing, product and customer specification processes; managing and developing analytical methods and analyses; driving continual improvement of quality management systems (ISO and SQF); and supporting the development of the personnel assigned to the QC Laboratory. DUTIES Consistently demonstrate full compliance with all regulatory requirements, including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, DOT, SQF, etc. and all Monument HSE rules, policies, practices and procedures. Fully support and champion a HSE Culture that enables the sustained achievement of exceptional HSE performance by consistently participating in the development and implementation of all HSE initiatives. Audit and edit lab related documents (i.e. ISO, SQF, etc.) Manage QC Lab records (USP documentation, equipment calibration, etc.) Provide support to Manufacturing, Technical Service and customers regarding analytical methods and analyses to resolve day to day issues Support management by troubleshooting instruments and coaching technicians. Participate in incident investigations when necessary Assist management with project implementation and analytical studies. Support management to assure that Quality Control Technicians are properly trained on methods and best lab practices. Investigate and correct any analytical deficiencies in a timely manner. Prepare "manual" COA's as needed. Assist management with employee scheduling including vacation coverage while minimizing overtime. Support the performance and development of the Quality Control Technicians. Ensure that the lab is efficiently organized including being equipped with essential supplies and instrumentation. Purchase supplies and equipment delegated by management. Provide leadership on technical and personnel issues. Ensure that the QC Lab conforms to current ISO, SQF and FDA Standards; drive continual improvement for quality management systems Actively participate in the implementation of all Human Resources processes and initiatives QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree - Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, preferredMaster's degree - Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, preferred5 years of related work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience with various lab instrument maintenance and troubleshooting preferred.Good organization, time management, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated analytical and project management skills.Demonstrated ability to master specific product/process and equipment knowledge.Proficient in MS Office and SAP.EOE AA M/F/Vets/Disabledhttp://www.dol.gov/ofccp/regs/compliance/posters/pdf/eeopost.pdf
