Arizona G&T Cooperatives is seeking candidates for the position of Electrical Engineer (Substation) I, II, III or IV in Benson, AZ. This position provides engineering and technical support to Project Engineers and other personnel in the design and construction of electrical substations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Provide technical support to Project Engineers by preparing technical specifications, drawings and related documents for review by the Project Engineer Assist with the preparation of project cost estimates and schedules and the review of equipment suppliers and contractor approvals and monitor installation of substation equipment by outside contractors and Cooperative personnel. Provide technical assistance to Transmission System Operation and Maintenance staff by preparing verbal and/or written technical answers to problems and questions Assist Planning Engineers with preparing planning studies and fault analyses Provide technical review of system additions proposed by Planning Division from both design and constructability viewpoints Minimum requirements are Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (power option preferred) and one plus years' experience in the design and construction of electrical substations. Successful candidates should have effective oral and written communication skills and a thorough understanding of word processing, spreadsheets and general computer applications.
