Virginia Home Health , a part of Virginia Health Services is hiring Part Time , LPN's for our Home Health programs ! We are currently hiring for the following areas including: Williamsburg/York County LPN's in Home Health have the following responsibilities: Providing services in accordance with organizational policies and procedures and regulations that define scope of practice. Preparing clinical and progress notes on the relevant and specialized nursing services he/she provides. Assisting the RN and/or physician in performing specialized duties related to end-of life care when appropriate. Assisting the RN in carrying out the plan of care. Preparing equipment and materials for treatment adhering to aseptic technique as required. Assisting the patient in learning appropriate self-care techniques. Assessing patient/family response to care. Insuring communication of information to appropriate team members. Submitting documentation per agency policy. Participating in Clinical Record Reviews. Participating in in-service programs and staff meetings. Evaluating own needs for support and using identified system(s) to meet the need. Complying with Compliance Plan. Complying with Infection Control Policies. Complying with HIPAA Policies. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and holds current Virginia LPN license. Must possess and maintain proof of current CPR training or be willing to be trained in CPR. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in general nursing practice. Should have good communication skills. Ability to work well with others, function well under pressure, and function independently. Must comply with the standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act. Why join Virginia Health Services?
