Position Summary: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function. Plan, direct, and coordinate administration of human resource policies, procedures, and programs. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the functional areas of: recruiting, on-boarding, HR records management, departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits administration, compensation, and HIPPA privacy compliance. Essential Functions: Recruit, interview and recommend potential new hires to the department leaders. Conduct orientation sessions, arrange on-the-job training for new hires and assess compliance of new hires with established learning curve goals. Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs. Train workers in proper human resources procedures and functions, and explain company policies in conjunction with the company's outside human resources support advisors. Conduct and arrange for ongoing training and personal development classes for the office. Review, prepare, and evaluate key performance indicators (i.e. turnover) and schedules to recommend improvements to operational efficiencies as they relate to the overall productivity and human resource functions. Coordinate and approve staffing, scheduling and vacation requests, in conjunction with the Doctor/Clinical Administrator. Conduct regular company meetings in conjunction with Doctor/Clinical Administrator. Conducting payroll processing. Implementation and facilitating Healthcare Insurance and 401K Plan to eligible employees. Report in a timely manner work related injuries, and continuously working hand in hand with the workers compensation company. Serve as an intermediary between management and line staff. Conduct internal investigations and report findings. Serve a Company HIPPA Safety and Privacy Officer Ensure company compliance with employment laws. Observe and evaluate workers' appearance and performance to ensure quality service and compliance with specification including preparing and issuing performance appraisals. Review and approve Management appraisals of line staff and employee discipline in conjunction with the Doctor/ Clinical Administrator. Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner. Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies. Must be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignments for self and subordinates. Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings. Occasionally there may be some travel, by car or plane, required in order to participate in continuing education or seminars. Provide similar services to DSO partners. Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically. Success Factors: Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Leadership and Guidance - Ability to lead while effectively providing instruction and guidance to subordinates and line staff. Judgement and Decision making - Able to evaluate the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and decisions withing purview and to choose the most appropriate one. Management of personal Resources - Recruiting, Hiring, on-boarding, motivating, developing, and directing people as they work. Identifying the best people for the job. Time management - Must Excel at directing one's own time and time of others. Adhere to strict safety guidelines and procedures to OSHA and office standards. Must be flexible and understand the job duties may change from time to time and that this individual may be asked to assist in other areas of the office. Must demonstrate good reading comprehension by understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Must demonstrate excellent communications skills by talking to others to convey information effectively. Education and Experience: No experience necessary!
