Arizona G&T Cooperatives is seeking candidates for the position of Principal Financial Planning Analyst located in Benson, AZ. This position will initiate, develop, and manage short-term, immediate-term, and long-term financial forecasts, analyses, and business cases for Arizona Electric Power Cooperative (AEPCO) and its business lines in support of strategic planning. Provide timely, accurate, and insightful written and oral reports to the Board of Directors, Executive Management, Division Managers, Member Cooperatives, customers, regulatory agencies, and financial institutions as to the forecasted financial position and condition of AEPCO for the immediate to long-term planning horizon. Perform and support financial and other analyses and reporting for 1) Resource and/or environmental planning; 2) Load forecasting; 3) Fuel procurement and burn strategies; 4) Power and labor contract negotiations; 5) Regulatory filings; 6) Loan applications; 7) Annual budgeting process; 8) Formal financial forecasts; 9) Rate modeling and analyses; and, 10) Other financial planning and analyses as may be required. Serve as the senior expert and advisor of the business for financial modeling and forecasting. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Produce timely, relevant and accurate financial forecasts and financial plans and analysis as required Gather, maintain, verify and update accurate financial model inputs, backup, data and assumptions Analyze iterative model results for accuracy, robustness, conformity to approved plans and procedures Develop reports and submittals to regulatory entities such as RUS and ACC, and lenders Prepare and deliver electronic presentations as necessary to convey results of studies and analyses Minimum requirements include Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science (BA/BS) in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field. 5-10 year(s) experience in utility financial planning and analysis environments or equivalent. In-depth knowledge of financial modeling software including relationship between inputs and outputs. Proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel and Power Point, and experience with ERP Systems (SAP preferred) and report writers. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
