Monsignor Carr Institute (MCI) is hiring a Full-time (40 hours/week) MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST to work with Catholic Charities in the Bewley Building, Lockport, NY Responsible for providing high quality behavioral health services including but not limited to assessment and treatment of an assigned caseload of children with mental health and/or substance use disorders in an OMH-licensed outpatient behavioral health setting. 40-hours/week, Salaried position; 4-day work week, closed on Fridays Hybrid remote working available; FREE evidence-based trainings and required consultation hours Ample Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays 25 PTO Days & 14 Holidays Retirement plan with employer contributions KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical Responsibilities: Orient new clients to treatment expectations and course of outpatient treatment. Assessments: Complete comprehensive initial assessments with each client to determine appropriateness for admission and help determine course of treatment. Admissions: Admit clients to the program as per policy and regulations; Make appropriate referral if client does not meet admission criteria. Treatment Plans: Complete initial and ongoing treatment plans within the required time frames that include the current needs, strengths, safety, and corresponding plan of care for each client. Therapy: Provide individual/group/family therapy as prescribed in the client's treatment plan based on comprehensive person-centered assessment and planning. Documentation: Produce accurate, timely and professionally formulated progress notes after each session or interaction that reflects the client's status, progress, and treatment plan goals; Professional Development: Actively seeks guidance, consultation, and direction from the supervisor and members of the treatment team. Comes prepared to clinical supervision sessions and utilizes them as a means to improve clinical skills and expertise. Keep credential up to date including completion of required continuing education units (CEUs). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: At minimum, completion of a Master's Degree program and at least a license-eligible degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing or related discipline. Achievement and maintenance of New York State license (LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, LMFT, or LCAT) is required for continued employment. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: At least one (1) year of professional behavioral health experience. Exceptional interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills required.
