Overview: As the Enterprise Data Warehouse Architect, you will be expected to partner with the Analytics and Database teams to evolve and implement the strategy for our Enterprise Data to support predictive analytics for our product and marketing efforts, including: Leading and enforcing the strategic design, modeling and maintenance of the data warehouse and business intelligence applications, Aligning the BI architecture with the enterprise architecture, Administer and/or enforce the current data governance strategies to align with corporate strategic objectives, Mentor and coach team members on best practices. To be successful in this role, you will be expected to develop an exceptional team spirit; exemplified with effective communication, positive attitude, problem-solving analytics and organizational skills. You must have an extreme attention to detail and a high level of accountability and responsibility. Experience in Vehicle Service Contracts or insurance industry is a plus but not required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Capture, document and analyze business requirements: transitioning to technical solutions. Provide technical guidance, establishing oneself as an advisor to the cross-functional BI stakeholders. Prioritize workload and produce highly confident estimates for all solution implementations. Maintain a high level of awareness of the current and future database technologies and best practices. Model database systems for predictive analytics Partner with the Data Analytics Team, BI users, developers and support teams to define requirements, troubleshoot and triage issues, fix bugs and build out new solutions. Write SQL including stored procedures, macros and ETL packages. Education and Experience: BS degree in computer science, MIS or other related technical discipline is required. 7+ years, hands-on experience with database development, modeling and governance within a RDBMS environment, preferably Microsoft SQL Server - which includes SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Experience with Replication, Azure and/or Power BI is a strong plus. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Skill Level: A history of increasing responsibility in the database arena. Strong project management disciplines and communication skills, including demonstrated track record in managing and delivering multiple projects with aggressive timelines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent knowledge of SQL and relational database systems as well as multi-dimensional data modeling. Experience with Python programing and its usage in data analytics Extensive technical knowledge and experience in database management techniques including logical data modeling, physical database optimization, data distribution, security, and database performance monitoring. Knowledge and awareness of networking and storage impacts pertaining to database design, optimization, and implementation within a VM environment. Proven experience in strategies/techniques for implementing data warehousing/BI support systems. Strong knowledge of SDLC principles, processes and methodologies. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type and required to look at a computer for long periods of the day. The employee must be able to sit for long periods of the day as well.
