The Coker University Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Psychology beginning August 2023. This is a 9-month, tenure-track position with competitive salary and benefits; a higher rank, based on experience, may be considered. This position reports to the Dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences. Preferred qualifications include an earned doctorate in psychology; ABD will be considered. Teaching responsibilities will include a wide variety of courses including face-to-face and online teaching assignments at the undergraduate level (credentialing preferred for online teaching); opportunities for hybrid teaching possible. The University is seeking individuals who are passionate about teaching, inclusive pedagogy, and encouraging all students to succeed; dedicated to working with students in classroom and research-based settings; dedicated to developing meaningful, collegial working relationships with students, faculty, and staff across campus; eager to contribute interests and ideas and recruit students for new and innovative courses and multidisciplinary programs; and committed to actively contributing to Coker's mission.
