Summary of Responsibilities The Springfield Cardinals are seeking candidates with a love for baseball and its loyal fans for their Mascot position. In this hands-on position, the mascot would be expected to provide entertainment through fan engagement during all 69 Springfield home games and any outside community appearances. During games, the mascot will meet and greet fans, work closely with Team Louie and emcees during on-field games and activities, and interact with fans to enhance their all-around game experience. Essential Functions of the Job Perform during in-game promotion activities and fulfill entertainment and marketing agreements with community partners Exhibit enthusiasm and maintain high energy at all times while interacting with fans Represent the Springfield Cardinals at a wide range of club sponsored community outreach events Perform at private parties, parades, festivals, grand openings, etc. as needed (includes nights, weekdays/ends, and holidays) Education and Experience Required High School Diploma or GED; college education preferred Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed Ability to preserve the identity of the mascot without deviating from established character traits including: body language/mannerisms, attitude, fan interaction, and team representation Work well in a team environment
