CommQuest seeks a Staff Nurse to be a member of the Quick Response Team (QRT) under the umbrella of the Stark County Sheriff's Department . QRT is responsible for triage, support, education, Naloxone kit distribution, services navigation, and linkage to treatment services in response to the opioid epidemic in Stark County. QRT is made up of a deputy, a nurse, and a social worker who work to provide outreach and engagement within the county to those who experience non-fatal overdoses. What you gain: Relationships within the organization and in the region Visibility into how our community supports those in need Opportunities to represent our organization and grow professionally Peace of mind knowing you are benefiting the clients we serve and the community at large What you'll do: Assess patient condition and implement treatment plans Maintain familiarity with area medical facilities and laboratories in order to refer clients to an appropriate medical provider Provide education/consultation to clients, referral sources, and the community on a variety of medical topics, withdrawal, medications, medical impact of AOD abuse etc. Naloxone Training with staff and community All other duties as assigned Schedule: This is a part-time day shift position of approximately 20 hours per week that does require you to be field-based and travel throughout the county. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Associate degree in Nursing is a plus! Minimum of an LPN currently licensed in the State of Ohio with no current license restrictions Previous knowledge of mental health and/or addictions is highly desired Must be mature, professional, and have the ability to work with other team members Full-Time Benefits: Generous time off, including Mental Health days 10 paid holidays annually Retirement plan with company match Medical, Dental, and Vision plans CEU/Licensure reimbursement and more!
