This internship is designed to expose students to day-to-day tasks in merchandising and in the assortment selection process specifically in the fashion industry. Interns will work alongside our merchandising team to help with driving new product ideas, preparation for milestone meetings, and much more. We would love to hear from you if you are whip-smart, extremely detail-oriented, and highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, with a laser-beam focus on process and a passion for the fashion industry.Job Description - Merchandising Intern Looking for a hardworking, independent, fashion savvy intern who will be given a firsthand opportunity to absorb the daily routine of Fashion merchandising process. This is a non-paid position. We can provide credit for any university students.Qualifications• Ability to work 3-4 days per week, preferably Monday - Thursday. * Hours can vary depending on school schedule, but still looking for about 15-20 hours per week.• Highly organized, reliable, Outgoing, positive, honest, loyal, and dependable.• Awareness of current trends and fashion.• Strong verbal communication, writing and spelling a must.• Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.• Must be good at asking questions and taking notes.• Strong follow through• Must be able to take initiative on projects and work independently. Responsibilities:• Assist Merchandising Team in their daily activities.• Research on emerging trends/products, competitors, influencers.• Assist with meeting preparations.• Support in assortment selection.• Help with sample management.• Assist with styling/outfitting.
