Reports To: Food and Beverage Director FLSA Status: Non Exempt Department: Food and Beverage SUMMARY Responsible for overseeing the service of members and guests in the dining room. Greets and seats members/guests, maintains order and cleanliness and assures that member/guest satisfaction standards are consistently attained. HOURS/DAYS Hours and days fluctuate according to the wants and needs of the members and guests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. Answers phone and takes reservations and checks table reservation schedules Greets and seats members and guests Write names of front and back servers on dinner reservation forms. Put new menus in presentation books as needed. Make copies of new priced menus for servers for line-up Check tables to see if place settings are correct. Inspects all linens daily for proper appearance. Handles member/guest complaints and problems. Takes "to-go" orders. Assists with table clearing and resetting as needed. Attends scheduled staff meetings. All other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum requirement is a High School diploma or equivalent. Must have food and beverage experience. Excellent communication skills are essential. Must be a team player and customer service oriented. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS N/A SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES Requires ability to remember guest names Requires ability to utilize computer Must be able to work long hours during the season PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical activities required on a daily basis will consist of standing and walking for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 30 40 pounds. Must be able to work long hours during the season. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The work environment will entail all food and beverage outlets. While performing the duties of this job, the associate occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 0
