Job Description: Weco Manufacturing is searching for a High-Level Controller to oversee the finance team and execute all aspects of day-to-day accounting functions including financial planning, reporting, and variance analysis. The Controller will partner closely with the CEO and the management team for company-wide growth and development. The businesses collectively specialize in precision machining, metal fabrication/finishing, and assembly. Since 1952, Weco has provided quality products for finished metal parts and assembled products including, custom enclosures, cabinets, shipping containers, panels, stands, chassis, mechanical assemblies, and infrastructure parts. Weco has the in-house capabilities to be a single source supplier to its customers and offers initial design, prototyping, fabrication, machining, re-manufacturing, sub-assembly, and final product assembly, as well as on-site finishing with powder, paint, and graphics capability. Weco serves a diverse customer base, including OEMs in the industrial, medical, transportation, audio, telecommunications, electronics, and government sectors. PTC Precision / Progressive Tool, located in Endwell, NY, founded in 1956, is a manufacturer of precision components serving the aerospace, defense, medical, optical, and commercial industries. Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate all financial activities and personnel Ensure proper internal controls and safeguarding of assets Set controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase return on investments Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques Provide weekly cash flow forecasting Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations Serve as primary contact for external auditors Define, benchmark, and implement operational best practices with an emphasis on continuous improvement Manage weekly bank reporting including debt covenants and borrowing capacity Ensure timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and organize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for review and approval Actively participate on the project team that makes recommendations to improve ERP(Epicore) Analyze and interpret gross margin and provide feedback to the management team Partner with operations to develop costing standards for new products Additional duties as needed in regard to a controller's role Oversee a staff of 2-5 employees Qualifications: Previous experience in accounting management or other related fields Fundamental knowledge of GAAP Strong Costing skills required Strong leadership qualities Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Deadline and detail-oriented
