Tang & Biscuit is the 1st floor Shuffleboard venue in RVA and the 1st in a social evolution of entertainment venues created to encourage the enjoyment of community, fun & interaction. If you haven't played shuffleboard, you should, and we know you will love it! Overview We are looking for energetic and personable Servers who are passionate about delivering outstanding hospitality! Our Servers will be responsible for taking food orders with a smile, delivering orders quickly, monitoring guest's beverage and food needs during their visit and keeping the highest standards of cleanliness to greet every guest. Our Servers must be team players with a helpful approach and willing attitude. They will need to maintain constant communication with the rest of the staff to make sure the location is operating smoothly and providing the very best guest experience at all times. Key Responsibilities Take drink and food orders of seated guests, making sure they are received in a timely manner. Monitor and communicate with guests throughout their visit. Pre-empt guest's needs, ensure they can make the most of their visit. Collaborate to ensure tables are cleared, cleaned and prepped for every guest. Assist in washing dishes, cleaning, event prep and other duties as needed. Arrange tables for large parties and prepare the banquet hall for scheduled gatherings. Provide feedback to management on guest comments and needs. Ability to give clear directions and take direction well. Other duties may be assigned. Key Qualifications Restaurant or food service experience preferred. High school diploma preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Excellent communication, time management and organization skills. Energy, enthusiasm and friendly personality. Ability to work in a fast-paced team while remaining positive and polite. A high level of self-awareness, integrity and accepting of change. Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time including maneuvering up and down stairs We are a forward-thinking company that delivers speedy and quality service, while upholding a strong community spirit!
