CORE: is seeking a Floor Manager to deliver exceptional food and beverage experiences to our community. CORE: comprises of 110 seat restaurant, 60 seated terrace, a library and event space as well as four private dining rooms. Our menu is Italian/Mediterranean driven, with a focus on offering well sourced, ethically farmed, fresh ingredients to create seasonally inspired menus prepared by our culinary team with Michelin Star experience. We are currently open Monday through Friday for breakfast, lunch & dinner service. Primary Role & Responsibilities Supervise the day-to-day functioning of all Restaurant staff and operations Happy to go above and beyond, to do more than expected, in a thoughtful way, so our members know you are focused on providing extraordinary hospitality. Maintain complete understanding of culinary and beverage menus including ingredients, sides, presentation, and possible allergens Maintain positive working relationships with kitchen leaders and line staff throughout service periods, ensuring effective and timely communication. Continuously provide support to all service staff and actively participate in the cycle of service as needed. Act as a role model for the Food & Beverage team, particularly in guest contact skills and personal presentation Maintain a constant and active presence on the floor. Provide support and direction to the service team and actively participate in the cycle of service as needed. Resolve Member and guest complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality Assist in staff scheduling, ordering bar products - liquor, beer, wine, and consumables Assist in preparing for and performing a weekly inventory of Liquor and Wine and monthly full beverage inventory Perform daily walk-through of all areas of the establishment to ensure full compliance with DOH, brand, and company standards Ensure staff is trained on quality service with a high-level focus on body language, eye contact, and proper verbiage Uphold the values, mission, and standards set forth by CORE: NYC Minimum Qualifications: 4+ years of FOH experience in New York restaurants, ideally in fine dining environment 2+ years of management and supervisory experience in a restaurant or hotel, preferred Passionate and knowledgeable about food, wine, beer & spirits Excellent people management, communication and listening skills Strong organizational, project management, and detail orientation skills, with the ability to multi-task in order to meet a variety of deadlines Experience with Aloha or a similar POS system CORE: Offers attractive compensation, opportunities for growth and training throughout the organization, strong culture of respect and inspired teamwork, a modern playful, inventive, and welcoming environment.
