Description:
HSD or GED; two years related experience; possess valid driver's license. Must possess Georgia Correctional Officer I certification at minimum security or ability to obtain same within 6 months of hire (to supervise and work with inmates). Duties include investigation of complaints, capture and handle domestic animals; issues warnings and citations; prepare case reports; testify in court as required; intake animals, vaccinate and deworm animals; enter data into computer database; schedule and transport animals to vet appointments; work with humane societies and animal restur groups; receive and process animal complaints; maintains animal complaint files & records. Knowledge of ordinances, animal enforcement principles, computers & job-related software programs. This position reports to the Public Works Director.
