Our customer base is growing so our team is growing as well! We have a great opportunity for an experienced Field Services Engineer to join our growing Managed IT Services team. The successful hire will be an integral part of a collaborative team providing IT consulting, network administration, field and remote technical support to our clients. Our Managed IT Services practice offers a full range of services, whether a client has an existing IT department that's looking to offload certain IT functions, or if a client needs a full-service IT department to manage it all, we've got them covered. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Travels daily to assigned customer sites Assists in the maintenance of windows servers, as well as all applications in use by customers Maintains network equipment, including servers, workstations, PDAs, routers, firewalls, switches, and printers Monitors ticketing system and ensures tickets are addressed in a timely fashion Performs customer audits and provides recommendations to improve efficiencies Assists the Field Services Manager and other IT consultants with scopes of work, as needed Communicates with vendors as needed for hardware, software and communications (ISPs), wireless networks, phone systems, PDAs, and desktop applications Participates in a rotating on-call schedule All other duties, as assigned Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, networks and systems such as HP and Dell Experience with LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies Knowledge in implementation and troubleshooting Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, and ASA devices Working knowledge of enterprise class switches (L2/L3), routers, load balancers and firewalls Proficient in network routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and HSRP Configures and troubleshoots VPNs Experience working with diverse environments Maintains a high level of professionalism and a courteous demeanor Strong written and verbal communication skills Exceptional customer service skills to engage and service customers efficiently and effectively Strong organizational, multi-tasking, detail-oriented, and time management skills Positive teamwork skills and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Education and Experience: 3+ years of IT experience in a consulting environment with a Managed Services Provider Must have Windows server, Windows desktop experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Voice over IP, disaster recovery, and Active Directory Industry certification(s) preferred Completion of related-IT training, whether it be through a degree program or certification Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university in a related field, preferred Other: Driver's license and access to transportation to travel to customer sites, preferred
