Adjunct Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Historical & Political Studies The ideal candidate should have expertise in social and/or political philosophy, with thematic specialization in social, transnational, and global justice. The ideal candidate should be able to offer courses that could include: PL180 Introduction to Political Philosophy, PL350 Social Justice, PL360 Global Ethics, and 200-level electives that augment the current regular offerings of the department. Candidates who work with critical liberatory philosophies of race, class, gender, sexuality, and so on will receive special consideration. Consideration of applications will begin May 1, 2023, and will continue until the position is filled. Qualifications : Ph.D. is strongly preferred by September 2023, as are demonstrated excellence in and commitment to teaching, and a strong research and publishing record commensurate with the candidate's experience. Course credits vary but normally between 3-4 credits a class. Lab courses are 2 credits each.
