The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, managing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes and procedures. This position will lead the project to move manufacturing operations into a new building and scale up capacity and capability for increased business volume. We are looking for an experienced engineer that is a self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills. How are you successful in this role? The Manufacturing Engineer will analyze production operations; develop and document procedures and processes to ensure high quality and efficient operations. Develop and lead continuous improvement activity - quality, delivery, cost, safety, capacity. Manage capital equipment purchase and deployment - including developing specifications, selecting equipment, and deploying to end-users. Develop capacity models, create equipment, and process solutions to achieve increased capacity. Perform make vs. buy analysis and develop and lead projects to insource or outsource operations as appropriate. Lead multiple projects and adhere to timelines and budgets. Provide feedback on designs to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost. Communicate in a proactive and transparent manner. Work with Purchasing team and suppliers to assure we are getting the correct material at a competitive price and lead-time. What are we looking for? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. 5-10 years of general manufacturing or process engineering experience - past work on highly engineered, complex systems a plus. Strong understanding of welding processes. Lean manufacturing experience. Project management skills (PMP a plus). Good analysis skills and business acumen. Experience with facility moves and scaling operations for high growth. Who are we?
