We manage the entire process from concept through engineering through installation and provide ongoing O&M support. Summary Duties: The Construction Superintendent manages and oversees the day-to-day operations at construction site for all PSG Energy Group renewable energy projects. The Construction Superintendent operates as the eyes and ears of the project managers, ensuring subcontractors are complying with PSG Energy Groups standards and policies. The Construction Superintendent assists with SOW preparation, subcontractor selection, and site walks. During construction, the superintendent acts as the main conduit between the subcontractors, Project Manager, and client, receiving daily field reports, receiving RFI's, and executing quality-control inspections. This role requires a competency and passion for both field activity and administrative work. Primary job duties and responsibilities: Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures Work with Project Manager on all change orders to date and budgets Manage company personnel such as foreman or site supervisors Schedule, communicate and coordinate with customer field representative for start date, deliveries, and construction progress Set the sequence and assignment of work to minimize exposure to job site safety risks and to keep the installation on budget and on time Fill out necessary paperwork for materials and equipment delivery Constantly monitor all aspects of the execution of the work: labor, material, schedule delays and additional mobilization Visit job sites in progress daily, communicate with subcontractors and other company personnel to ensure projects are meeting schedule, safety, quality standards. Translate and interpret construction drawings Maintain updated project schedules Distribute weekly look ahead schedules for each site Work independently Maintain daily field reports for each project site Monitor installations with plans, specifications, and manufacturers recommendations Maintain consistent job-site cleanliness Coordinate directly with Service Team for labor/equipment needs Commission completed projects Qualifications: Fluent in MS Office products including MS Project Familiarity with the building/construction trades OSHA 30 Training preferred NABCEP PV or Thermal Certification preferred Electrical background preferred Equipment operator preferred Proficient with computers, reading construction plans and specs Experience implementing quality control/quality assurance processes Demonstrated Safe Working Practices and knowledge of OSHA safety standards Success at managing and delivering construction projects on schedule and under budget Ability to analyze project scenarios and coordinate site-specific design modifications with PSG Design Team Self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team Proven ability to manage and motivate employees Organized and able to meet deadlines Great attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship Successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check, national driving record, and drug screen Excellent verbal and written communication skills Wiling to travel across geographic footprint including but not limited to IN, IL, OH. Travel may be for the duration of project Education and Experience: Minimum 5 years of construction supervision experience Two- or Four-year degree preferred Electrical and/or solar experience preferred Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record Other Requirements: Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction May be required to satisfy other requirements imposed by specific projects, customers, or company needs, including to be vaccinated for the flu and/or Covid-19 and similar, subject to all applicable laws Valid driver's license (including a clean driving record) and evidence of insurability Full Time, 40 Hours / week Job Posted by ApplicantPro
