Position: Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern Reports to: Vice President of Operations Job Summary: We are seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern to assist our JX team with various tasks related to ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment. The EHS Intern will work under the direction of the Vice President of Operations/ designee to support compliance efforts and continuous improvement projects related to environmental, health, and safety. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs, policies, and procedures Conduct EHS training sessions and develop training materials Participate in EHS audits and inspections, and assist with the tracking and resolution of corrective actions Assist with the management of hazardous materials, including labeling, storage, and disposal Support the EHS team in conducting risk assessments and identifying areas for improvement Help maintain EHS metrics, including incident rates and compliance metrics Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship Perform other duties as assigned Requirements : Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, or related field Knowledge/ awareness of federal and state environmental, health, and safety regulations Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn and take on new challenges This is a paid internship position that offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic EHS environment. The internship will last for 3 months with the possibility of extension.
