Summer: Van Driver for YMCA Food Program

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (June 12 through August 11) Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour FREE YMCA membership included, June-August Basic Duties: The Summer Food Program Van Driver is expected to serve their assigned route effectively by learning the route, getting to know the site staff, delivering, and picking up coolers on time, and completing all necessary paperwork. Specific Responsibilities: Uphold the policies and philosophy of the Beaver County YMCA Attend staff training and orientation Maintain professional conduct and appearance consistent with the YMCA Dress Policy Provide proof of valid Driver's License and Car Insurance Follow assigned weekly work schedule Perform accurate punch in and punch out daily Learn van route before first day of food service and hang up banners Keep vans neat, clean, and fueled Pick up and deliver coolers to specific sites on the route each day Coolers weigh anywhere from 15-40 pounds After dropping off full coolers, repeat the route in order to pick up empty coolers that were previously dropped off Pick up completed meal logs from feeding sites Empty out cooler contents and store coolers appropriately Keep coolers clean inside and out. Van routes are subject to change based on delivery times, field trips, site start dates, etc. If necessary, you may need to assist serving meals at a summer feeding site After completing the route each day, return to YMCA and file paperwork for sites Notify your supervisor immediately of any problems Other duties as assigned We mutually agree to these performance expectations and understand that these expectations will be used to evaluate and ensure consistent performance standards.
