Weather Shield Roofing is a commercial roofing company operating out of West and Central Michigan, with crews in Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Lansing. Weather Shield is seeking Service Technicians , which involves leak seeking , roof repairs, field inspections, developing a scope of work with a budget, putting together a materials list, and executing work from start to completion. This position involves working on a team under a foreman and a superintendent. Applicants must be willing and able to follow directions from their supervisor and be fully compliant with all safety regulations. Experience is not necessary, but a plus! WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU We love people who are experienced in a variety of roofing systems, including single ply , modified , and built-up asphalt . But, if that's not you, don't let that stop you from applying . If you feel like we are the type of company you want to work for and you are a fit for us we will train you! We usually work Monday through Friday with some Saturdays . We don't provide transportation so applicants must have reliable transportation or a way to arrive at our shop or a job site on time every day. Must be willing to take a drug test and be Authorized to work in the U.S. Show up on time every day and bring it Ability to work well in a team environment and on your own Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ pounds a couple times an hour D evelop relationships with new and existing customers through excellent service and communication Enjoy working outdoors even in extreme weather conditions...both hot and cold Learn, master, and contribute to improve Weather Shield safety policies, procedures, and systems Benefits Include Health insurance (Medical, Vision, & Dental) Company paid short and long-term disability Paid Vacation - 40 hours first year based on hours worked 401K - 3% Automatic Contribution Life Insurance 6 Paid Holidays $18-25/hour based on experience If Weather Shield sounds like a place you can see yourself, we would love to meet you and talk about a career with our company.
