WAREHOUSE CDL YARD DRIVER Spee-Dee Delivery is looking for a self-motivated and independent worker who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As the Warehouse CDL Yard Driver, you are responsible for the coordination of incoming trailers from branches and the movement of outgoing trailers as they are loaded. HOURS AND WAGE: Monday- Friday, 5:00PM- completion. 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week Starting wage: CDL-A driver $23/hour - $26/hour, based on experience DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Transfers incoming trailers into loading docks and moves when emptied Switches outbound terminal trailers once they are loaded Makes local pick-ups in surrounding area Replaces trailers when Transport CDL drivers leave Communicates with CDL mechanics on maintenance and repairs Removes empty pallets from unloaded trailers Coordinates unloading and loading of LTL pallets Communicates with warehouse management to synchronize switches Washes exterior of tractor and equipment daily Performs other duties as assigned YOU ARE A GREAT FIT IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: At least 18 years of age and hold a valid Class-A CDL with a good driving record which meets company standards. Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn High School diploma or equivalent required Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical exam, and criminal background Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work with a full range of motion with no limits to standing, squatting, stair climbing, overhead lifting, walking, and lifting freight weighing up to 100 pounds Ability to work with all types of freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous materials, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals BENEFITS: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) plan, Quarterly Bonuses, and more.
