Supervisor - Benefits and Compensation Location: Columbus, MT / Hybrid Remote Schedule: 5/2, 4/3 Job Responsibilities and Duties: At Sibanye-Stillwater, the Benefits and Compensation Supervisor works to balance the reward opportunities available to employees that align with the organization's goals, budgets, and expectations. They oversee opportunity and create solutions in the following areas: health and welfare benefit administration, retirement, deferred compensation, workers' compensation, employee recognition, diversity, equity and inclusion, and all other forms of employee rewards. The incumbent conducts professional level human resources activities related to Total Rewards administration and may assist with other human resources activities as needed. Work requires limited supervision and the use of independent judgment and discretion. Administers benefit plans, assists employees with benefits questions and issue resolution. Analyzes total compensation and evaluates and recommends benefit options for the organization. Analyzes impacts to changes in benefits (including compensation and the health benefits). Analyzes and studies the health care and benefit market to determine success of current programs and practices; recommends new ones and/or changes to existing benefits. Administers the deferred compensation plans. Assists in the annual department budget preparation. Provides professional staff support to the organization, which includes interpreting laws, regulations, rules and policies related to Human Resources programs. Researches and analyzes various human resource related information or situations and recommends appropriate action based on findings. Researches, compiles, analyzes and prepares various reports related to departmental, and/or programmatic operations and activities. Manages assigned contract terms and agreements. Evaluates the work of external contractors and authorizes payments. Qualifications and Skills: The successful candidate will also have demonstrable experience including: Applicable human resource program management principles, practices, methods and procedures. Benefit administration practices and trends in the field of total rewards administration. Workers' Compensation practices and trends. Applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules and regulations impacting Human Resources and Total Rewards program administration. Mathematical and general statistical principles. Leading a high performing team to execute on strategic goals in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Developing, administering, and assessing human resources programs. Conducting research and preparing related reports. Responding appropriately and positively to evolving situations and needs. Collecting and analyzing data to effectively communicate KPIs and trends. Thoughtfully resolving conflict and escalated issues with a positive attitude. Prioritizing, organizing, and managing multiple, simultaneous, competing projects. Handling and maintaining sensitive and confidential information. Providing exceptional customer service. Gathering and analyzing information and making recommendations in support of organizational strategic goals. Communicating effectively with employee groups at all levels of the organization. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field required. Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in HR-related functions including benefit administration, leave and retirement benefits and compensation. Minimum 3 year's supervisory/leadership experience. Demonstrated project management experience. Or some combination of the above. Additional Notes: Candidates with SHRM-SCP, SPHR or CEBS certification(s) are preferred.
