Loparex LLC is the world's largest manufacturer of extrusion base and silicone coated release liners for the converting industry. We have manufacturing operations throughout the U.S., Europe, China, Thailand and India. The Iowa City facility has been in operation since 1970 and annually supplies three billion square feet of release liner worldwide. We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to work in the Iowa City facility. The successful candidate must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic problems with control systems, troubleshoot PLC and drive programs perform mechanical/electronic/electrical control maintenance or preventive maintenance for the hydraulic and pneumatic systems, production machines, safety interlock systems and hoists. They are also responsible for keeping production machinery operating, performing preventive maintenance and servicing plant support systems. This position will work a 12-hour day shift. Qualified candidates must possess two years electronics degree and Previous experience that provides the qualifications to perform job duties. Candidate must also have the ability to use a wide variety of diagnostic and repair tools, ability to read and follow electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals and regulatory books, ability to weld and use cutting torch. Employees will be required to wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves and steel toe shoes. All required PPE is provided by Loparex. A strong commitment to customers, productivity, quality, and safety is essential . Starting wage is negotiable and will depend on qualifications.
