Description:
As a Lobby Attendant, you will be responsible for the cleanliness of the lobby, entrances, and all public areas which includes the inside and outside of designated areas at the Rane Culinary Science Center and The Laurel Hotel and Spa. The RCSC is a shared services building with Auburn University and the Lobby Attendant will have designated areas to clean as assigned. Job Responsibilities: Clean designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices and other public areas as directed. Report maintenance issues observed to Engineering via electronic device. Maintain internal and external trash receptacles. Maintain the cleanliness of the floors; including sweeping, mopping, buffing, polishing, Walk the outside designated public areas picking up all trash, report maintenance issues via electronic device to Engineering. Respond to guest requests in a timely manner. Turning all lost and found items in accordance with lost and found Clean the heart of the house as directed. Monitor elevator Clean the fitness center, library, and other assigned areas as directed by the Housekeeping Management or Hotel Manager. Reportallsuspiciouspersonsoractivities,hazardousconditions,toSafety/Security/Engineering department as applicable. Provide general public assistance, instruction and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations. Required Knowledge/Skills/Experience · Ability to follow directions and work in a fast paced environment. · Ability to work alone in an established routine. Prior Housekeeping experience helpful but not required. Must be flexible to work varied schedules and hours including weekends and holidays. Must have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, and stand for long periods of time. The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and Must adhere to grooming and appearance standards in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the employee handbook . Must be dependable.
