El Concilio is looking for a dedicated accountant to assist within our Fiscal department. Responsibilities in this department include inputting accurate financial information. Gathers information for and prepares accounting and fiscal records, reports, and claims for internal use, for use by the particular programs involved. Participates in providing up-to-date cost accounting information for city, county and state programs to be used for budgeting and cost control purposes by that program. Other task involve identifying areas for improvement and propose new processes for efficient record keeping. The Accountant will receives directives from the Chief Financial Officer and collaborate with other staff in the department such as the Lead Senior Accountant, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and accountants. Employment Type: Full-Time; Non-Exempt Requirements: Background Check, Health Records/Immunizations, Valid Driver's License. Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or within a related field is highly preferred; An Associates Degree in Accounting or related field with 3-5 years of experience is required in lieu of a degree. Optional benefits include vision and additional life insurance coverage at the expense of the employee. Leave: El Concilio offers PTO (Personal Time-Off) benefits as well as 13 paid holidays per year to all permanent employees. Part-time employees' leave benefits are prorated.
