Sentinel CTF Physical Security Engineer Location: Hill AFB, UT DESCRIPTION: Canvas, Inc. is seeking a Sentinel CTF Physical Security Engineer! This position is to provide advisory and assistance services to the Air Force. This is a senior-level position located at Hill Air Force Base (HAFB), as part of the ICBM Combined Test Force (CTF), under the 804th Test Group affiliated with Arnold Engineering Complex and will provide oversight of Sentinel ICBM (formally GBSD) CTF Test Lead activities to assist/augment SPO (System Program Office) Test Managers. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases. Initiate, oversee, and/or contribute to government and contractor development of test requirements for the complex Physical Security System (PSS) element of the weapon system. Provide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvement and optimization development efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues. Participate alongside PSS Lead to define test needs, risks, and advocating for studies and surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions. Generate and compile information to detail PSS considerations in system testing. Participate in Government Product Teams (GPTs), Test Planning Teams (TPTs), Test Plan Working Groups (TPWGs) and Integrated Test Teams (ITT) meetings as appropriate to advocate for PSS capabilities. Assess test support and systems integration progress and trends of testing, identify problems and areas of concern for assigned systems. Provide support to the Sentinel Combined Test Force (CTF) Lead Developmental Test & Evaluation Organization (LDTO) in development test and evaluation (DT&E) activities for AF Nuclear Weapons Center missile systems. Support Sentinel and or Minuteman III developmental test efforts to assess performance against stated program requirements. Participate in all T&E phases outlined in the DoD Test and Evaluation guidebook. Coordinate/Ensure TRB/SRB activities are taking place within Sentinel CTF. Follow on any actions discovered during TRB/SRB's to ensure actions are documented. Document the accomplishment of SRBs, the overall risk assessment, and any associated actions. Coordinate and integrate TPTs between Sentinel CTF, SPO, and Prime Contractor. Ensure appropriate project management controls are established to include oversight test projects are properly closed out. Conduct a monthly Test Management Review with Sentinel CTF and SPO. Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Integrated Test Teams (ITTs), and Working Groups (WGs) as appropriate. REQUIREMENTS : Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance Must be willing to travel up to 10%. A Master's degree in an Engineering and 10 years of experience in a engineering discipline. Eight years' experience can be substituted for education beyond the bachelor's level if waived by the government. Experience in working on DoD test programs is highly desired. Experience in working with DoD organizations, test organizations and/or prime contractors is highly desired. Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level. Familiarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies is highly desired. Familiarity with DoD weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military, and methods of testing is highly desired. Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military, and methods of testing. Candidate may qualify for position by meeting any of the following educational requirements: Masters (desired) Bachelor of Science Associate degree and 6 years direct work experience Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and show proof of citizenship. Candidate will be subject to random drug testing throughout the lifetime of employment.
