Job Summary As a Project Manager you will be responsible for acting as a liaison between the Company and Client Site Management; overseeing multiple projects, supervising superintendents, foremen and crews of Journeymen Industrial Mechanics; and developing leads on potential new business. Essential Duties Confer with clients, other contractors, and engineers to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, or industrial maintenance problems. Plan, schedule, or coordinate industrial maintenance project activities to meet deadlines. Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports. Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, MSHA, OSHA, or other regulations. Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the industrial maintenance or maintenance of structures, facilities, or systems. Study job specifications to determine appropriate industrial maintenance methods. Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at industrial maintenance sites to ensure that proper industrial maintenance procedures are being followed. Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with engineers, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors. Develop or implement quality control programs. Develop or implement safety and environmental protection programs. Implement new or modified plans in response to delays, bad weather, or industrial maintenance site emergencies. Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients. Perform assessments, such as conceptual cost estimating, rough order of magnitude estimating, feasibility, or energy efficiency, environmental, and sustainability assessments. Apply for and obtain all necessary permits or licenses. Evaluate industrial maintenance methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans, using computer models. Direct and supervise industrial maintenance or related workers. Determine labor requirements for dispatching workers to industrial maintenance sites. Requisition supplies or materials to complete industrial maintenance projects. Negotiate project specifications. Manage industrial maintenance activities. Develop operating strategies, plans, or procedures. Prepare financial documents, reports, or budgets. Determine operational compliance with regulations or standards. Evaluate green operations or programs for compliance with standards or regulations. Direct industrial maintenance or repair activities. Investigate industrial incidents or accidents. Estimate labor requirements. Implement organizational process or policy changes. Develop environmental remediation or protection plans. Develop procedures to evaluate organizational activities. Purchase materials, equipment, or other resources. Communicate organizational information to customers or other stakeholders. Communicate organizational policies and procedures. Analyze data to determine project feasibility. Estimate various projects from every aspect and cost $1 to $25mm in size. Analyze forecasting data to improve business decisions. Model operational processes. Train employees on environmental awareness, conservation, or safety topics. Develop sustainable organizational policies or practices. Other duties as assigned. Build schedules for individual projects in Microsoft Projects or P6 programs Skills & Qualifications 10 years of experience in the Power Plants industry Employee must be capable of working long hours. Must be knowledgeable and capable of working in confined spaces, at elevated surfaces and on scaffolding, climbing ladders. Must be dependable and operate with a high-level of integrity.
