Job Description: As a key leader on the Information Technology team, the Technical Lead actively leads the ERP team in analyzing, designing, and deploying NAV/D365-BC solutions to internal clients. The Technical Lead will analyze, research, document, communicate, architect, design, and implement solutions to the client's business processes. This position requires deep subject matter expertise and a "hands-on" approach toward solutions. The company has been using Microsoft Dynamics NAV since 2014 and recently completed an upgrade to Business Central. This role will lead our internal efforts to provide excellent customer service to our internal users and make steady improvements to BC, working closely with our BC partners/developers. BC handles the company's manufacturing, purchasing, sales, shipping, and financial functions and is our single source of truth regarding customer and item information. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the internal and external development teams by providing direction, overseeing code development standards, reviewing submitted code, and owning the releases. Provides leadership and technical guidance to the IT ERP team throughout all stages of project and support plans to ensure accurate delivery of plans. Lead multiple engagements with internal clients, including complex configurations, development, and integration requirements. Lead the remediation of current system issues, defects, new functionality, strategy, and execution to moving into the Cloud. Own the day-to-day health and performance of the enterprise application ecosystem. Work directly with internal business teams to share best practices, gather functional requirements, identify operational gaps, develop applicable design documents and related solution designs, and configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC software to meet business requirements. Define and drive critical initiatives and be responsible for implementing, delivering, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in an operational capacity (supply chain and manufacturing). Facilitate discussions with business and technical stakeholders to extract critical business requirements and present a functional and technical vision and solutions in software products, customizations, and integrations to meet those needs within Dynamics 365 Business Central. Communicates complex topics regarding solutions and related projects to audiences with and without deep technical skills. Assist in an R&D capacity to anticipate and understand market needs and prepare the team to meet client needs in appropriate areas. Utilize ERP implementation standards and tools/documents. Provide oversight, training, and mentorship to junior level. Requirements: Dynamics 365 Business Central on Prem/NAV implementation experience and participation in at least 10 full life cycle implementations or 8+ years of ERP implementation experience as a functional or technical consultant. BS/BA degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field. Experience with modeling business processes and translating requirements into a business application. Excellent presentation and communication skills targeted to present information to C-level management and internal business teams effectively. Experience leading a team of analysts, QA, and engineers. Excellent organizational skills, attention to quality, self-motivation, and a desire to succeed. Working knowledge of Microsoft solution offerings, ranging from Azure, and SQL, to Power BI and O365. Ability to independently research possible solutions to problems. Hands-on experience with finance/accounting, production, inventory, and advanced warehousing in NAV or Business Central. Would be a plus: Experience with Beck/Aptean ISV products, Chargelogic, Intelitax, EDI, or Generix Solochain WMS. Experience with a company subject to SOX compliance requirements. Experience in Jira and Confluence. Experience working in an Agile project methodology. Exposure to all accounting categories. Have worked in information technology and business teams. Code experience with C/AL or AL. Certification as a Microsoft Professional (MCP). Scrum certified.
