The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking an Aquatics Coordinator based at our Lafayette YMCA. This position is a leadership role within the department. Our coordinator will report to the Program Director of Aquatics at the branch and assist in organization, delivery, and maintaining the quality of aquatics programming. This includes assisting in program planning, scheduling and hiring staff. You will also assist with guarding pools in our association. You might be the right candidate if... You have experience creating a work environment that fosters positivity, creativity, teamwork, and hard work. You love lifeguarding, implementing policies, scheduling. You are detail oriented and proactive. You know and follow emergency procedures and can respond to emergency situations with calm focus. You are a problem-solver and a communicator: You can have a serious conversation with a 2-year-old about sharing, update a mom on swim lesson offerings and talk about aquatics opportunities for seniors all within a five-minute period. Qualifications: Minimum age of 21. Minimum 3 years lifeguard experience. Current YMCA Lifeguard, Red Cross Lifeguard, or equivalent certification. Current First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and Oxygen Administration certification. Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness. Past supervisory experience is preferred. Hiring Salary Range: $19.50-21.00/hour based on experience and we offer a 10% differential for bilingual staff fluent in Spanish and English. This position is year round, full time 35 to 40 hours each week. Part time and seasonal options are also available. OUR BENEFITS ROCK. The Y offers generous medical, dental and vision benefits. We provide long-term disability and life insurance at no cost to full-time employees.
