Do you love summer fun? Who doesn't, right? What about games? Do you love games? How about camp chants, outdoor education and artsy crafty stuff? If you answered yes to all of the above (heck, two out of three ain't bad), you should probably apply to join the Cheyenne YMCA Summer Day Camp Team. Shifts vary depending on site between 7:00am and 6:00pm M-F. This position is just for summer, but we have openings in our afterschool programs, too. Our goal is for each child to enjoy safe adventures, make new friends and have amazing experiences every day. Seasonal full time and part time day camp staff opportunities are available. Requirements/Certifications: To apply for this position you must: Be 16 years or older. Higher wages and leadership opportunities to those 18+ Become certified or supply documentation of current certification in CPR and First Aid. (We can provide this) Must have ability to work well on a team, communicate well with youth, parents and colleagues and be committed to implementing high quality programming. Prefer previous experience working with children. Salary range $9.50-11/hr based on experience, qualifications, and availability. All YMCA of Northern Colorado part-time staff working 10+ hours each week are eligible to receive a free family membership. Staff who work 10+ hours a week earn 50% to 100% off our programs. That includes free YMCA traditional day camp, youth sports, learn to skate and swim lessons, and half off YMCA Camp Santa Maria overnight camp, personal training, specialty summer camps, and childcare. If you work 20+ hours a week, your benefits grow from there. Sick time is earned from day 1, and we make contributions of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund for eligible staff.
