Overview: As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for answering phones in a professional manner to respond to general customer inquiries such as: opening new benefit requests, providing status, and handling customer complaints as well as assisting with dealer and agent inquiries. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers by taking an average of 55 calls per day, this includes customers, dealerships, financial institutions, and insurance carriers. Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to first-call resolution by taking care of the customer on their first call. Navigate a computerized data processing system or other relevant applications for information gathering, troubleshooting, and transactional processing. Make notes in the system so that others can follow what is happening with the account. Responsible for TPA's (Third Party Administrators) benefit requests, including responding to communications and performing benefit request processes. Receive, investigate, and coordinate all benefit requests in accordance with procedures, including preparing files, setting up and maintaining requests in Administration System, and preparing and distributing communications. Coordinate with Operations on processing cancellations on denials where applicable. Monitor open benefit request queue on a daily basis with the proper follow-up to customers. Maintain the daily production of incoming faxes, emails, mail, claim payments, and denied claims Education and Experience: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required Associate's Degree preferred Automotive Knowledge preferred 1- year customer service experience required 1-year call center experience preferred Skills: Strong organizational and customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Ability to adapt to shifting priorities. Ability to articulate relevant information and directions in an organized and concise manner. Demonstrated strong proficiency with typing, computer software including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and all internal and external processing systems and resources. Requires the ability to maintain confidential information and work independently and as a member of a team. Learning mentality and ability to develop skills Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type and look at a computer screen for long periods of the day.
