Position Summary: Interface with internal and external suppliers/vendors to obtain status, delivery dates, quotes/estimates, invoices/credits, technical inquiries and logistical details for equipment, blades, dynamics, and piece parts. Manage rotable pool for serviceable parts. Perform planning/scheduling as required. Assist with supplier/vendor negotiations... Primary Responsibilities: 1. Component Repairs Operations and Repairers/Vendors management 50% Create service orders and purchase orders as required Manage D-level repairers/suppliers including internal suppliers: Challenge repair pricing and quotations Challenge repair schemes proposed Assist procurement to get flat fees for the cost drivers Conduct weekly conference to get external WIP status Supplier's performance plan (dashboards....) Request, receive, and manage quotations for WIP sent to external suppliers/vendors Coordinate logistical details with suppliers/vendors Assist procurement in establishing targeted supplier 's service level agreement Coordinate quality discrepancies resolution with external suppliers Conduct routine performance evaluations and define improvement plan with external suppliers/vendors to recover targeted performance (KPI's) 2. Forecast/Scheduling/Planning 20% Challenge/Agree on Scheduling/Planning with Suppliers in accordance with customer priorities Build and Maintain Suppliers scorecards Provide external repair forecast and provide to external suppliers/vendors Provide estimated delivery dates and supplier/vendor progress reports to Customer experience team Challenge shops and repair suppliers on turnaround times and costs are with defined threshold. 3. Pool/Inventories 15% Manage and properly size rotable pool of serviceable parts for assemblies and piece parts Review rotable part backorders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled by required delivery date 4. Process / KPIs / Dashboard 15% Propose and set-up process improvement Build and maintain KPI's for all activities Work closely with accounting maintaining their WIP status. Including closing service orders, resolving costing issues, explanations and resolutions. Maintain WIP inventories are moved through accurately Additional Responsibilities: Create and maintain harmonization of "supplier/Vendor Interface" process between all MRO shops Support/Lead projects as required Define and improve external sub-contract processes Comply with and adhere to company policies and procedures Interface with internal suppliers Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent experience Preferred: Bachelor degree in associated field Experience: Required: Minimum two (2) years in an MRO, Vendor management or procurement. Preferred: SAP experience in SD, MM, WM or SD environment Licensure/Certifications: N/A Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: Strong organizational skills Strong process improvement skills Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast paced demanding environment Strong Communication Skills Persuasion skills & tenacity Ability to understand financial statements Understanding of cross-cultural / global issues Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages): Requires ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form. Technical Systems Proficiency: Microsoft Office (excel) Travel Required: Minimal Domestic and International Citizenship: Authorized to Work in the US Clearance: None Decision Making, Complexity: Meeting internal as well as external customer expectations Multitask Meeting inventory demand. Ability to resolve issues in effective/practical ways. Organizational information: Direct Reports: Exempt: 0 Non-exempt: 0 Job Dimensions, Contributions to Success: Responsible rotable pool for commercial environment Customer Satisfaction Liaison between internal shops and Business office Customer interface Suppliers are within guidelines Turnaround times are being met for customer demand Inventory value Overall departmental goals are met. Including P&Ls, inventory demand, on time deliveries. To drive overall customer satisfaction and grow business. Nature of Contacts: Involved Communication on a frequent basis with internal and external parties Physical Requirements: Onsite: 99*% on site Vision: Regularly able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings on a daily basis. Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms on a daily basis. Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications on a daily basis. Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts regularly. Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs minimally. Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs minimally. Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer on a daily basis. Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor regularly. Travel: able to travel independently very minimal. Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
